        The laser industry has formed a complete and mature industry chain distribution, the upstream mainly includes laser materials and supporting components, the midstream mainly for all kinds of lasers and their supporting equipment, the downstream laser application products, consumer products, instruments and equipment mainly. The domestic laser market mainly includes laser processing equipment, optical communication devices and equipment, laser measurement equipment, lasers, laser medical equipment, laser components, etc., to be applied in the industrial processing and optical communication market, the two occupy nearly 70% of the market share.

        At present, China's laser industry is mainly used in laser processing, medical and other industries, including scientific research and development field accounted for 12%, material processing field accounted for 32%, the communication field accounted for 12%, the information field accounted for 14%, the medical field accounted for 20%, measurement and other fields accounted for 9% and 1%.

        Up to now, there are 5 national laser technology research centers, more than 10 research institutions; 21 provinces and cities produce and sell laser products, there are more than 200 units that produce and sell stereotyped products and form a certain scale all year round. In order to keep up with the pace of world development and provide a steady stream of technical and human resources support for China's laser industrialization, it is necessary to strengthen the construction of the laser technology innovation base, especially the engineering innovation base.

        Maintain the technical development trend synchronized with the international advanced level, and focus on breaking through a number of key technologies to solve the bottlenecks that restrict the development of China's laser technology industry. Closely integrated with the main battlefield of national economic construction, with the transformation and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements as the core, focusing on solving the core key technologies of laser single components, system integration and processing technology. Increase the strength of new product development, and provide technology reserves for industrial development.

        For laser cutting and welding with lasers, optical devices, light guide system and laser processing equipment supporting components, continue to provide new technology, new design and new prototype, focusing on the development and production of high-power axis fast flow CO2 laser, fully cured YAG laser, new portable laser processing machine and composite laser welding technology. Specific initiatives are as follows.
